WHO ARE WE?
Our History
VRAC.org is a 501 ©3 organization, originally created in 2014 as North Carolina Veterans Resources Center. The original mission of the non-profit organization was to assist Veterans and their families who were returning to North Carolina from Iraq and Afghanistan along with other Veterans from prior years. As our mission grew and the range of our services grew to include areas outside of the North Carolina borders, we transitioned to Veteran Resources Awareness Center (VRAC.org). Once the various conflicts and wars wound down and the needs were not as immediate or pressing we found ways to assist the Veterans by guiding and directing them to various other resources better equipped to handle longer term needs.

After VRAC.org became dormant for a while, the COVID-19 Virus surfaced and began destroying lives and the economy of the United States and the World. When this occurred, the leadership of VRAC.org adopted a new name – Virus Relief and Aid Center. Our principal mission remains the same as before as we still work toward assisting those on the front lines of defense of this great nation and its people. These are the First Responders, Doctors, Nurses, EMS, and various medical people who are valiantly fighting this invisible enemy. At a time when access to be with sick family members and friends is no longer an option, these people are the ones who the ill can and have to call upon for support and care. These are the people who in many cases cannot be with their own families due to the contagious nature of the Covid-19 disease.
